Here's a Great Idea to Strengthen Music in your Ward/Branch!
Special Musical Numbers!
I have the schedule for THE ENTIRE YEAR! (Man, this Stake Presidency is ON THE BALL!)
If you want to strengthen the music in your branch/ward, then grab one (or more) of the special musical numbers scheduled during the year, and begin now to prepare something that will be meaningful and appropriate. Let me know what date you want and I will publish it on the blog. It will be FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED so don't leave your unit out!
Since I am new to the stake and this music calling, what does that mean that you have all the special musical numbers for the year and that we should pick a date and prepare?

As you do your talent inventory you are going to identify members of your ward who want to be involved in something extra, either with their voices or with their instruments. The list of needed special musical numbers (now showing at the top of the blog) give you an opportunity to say to those in your ward music family, "Do you think we should put something together as a special musical number for the event happening on...?" That gives you time to get something approved and prepare carefully and well, so all involved have a good experience as they consecrate their talent and a little of their time to bring the Spirit into their own lives and to the event in which they are serving.
